We can’t believe it’s already been a week since we gathered with our amazing customers, partners, and colleagues for ENGAGE in Seattle. We’re beyond grateful to everyone who made it, and we hope you enjoyed diving into all things Smartsheet as much as we did. If you're ready to soak up the energy again, we've rounded up some of our favorite moments for you. Here's a peek at the highlights!
Opening keynote
Mark Mader kicked off the event with the opening keynote. Not only was the keynote centered around the change that you, our customers, are creating with Smartsheet, but Mark announced that the Smartsheet AI suite is available to all customers through the end of the year.
Next, two Smartsheet customers joined Smartsheet VP of Solutions Engineering, Tara Francois, to talk about how Smartsheet is helping them transform how work happens.
First, Crissy Nolen, CMO of Colliers International in Houston, shared how Smartsheet has transformed how its team works. By automating tasks and providing better data, they've increased capacity by 15-30%, allowing the team to focus on more meaningful projects that boost revenue and satisfaction.
Then, VP of Customer Engagement and Delivery, Lisa Symons of Maximus, a global leader in government services, detailed how Smartsheet has simplified the tracking and management of their IT portfolios across diverse projects, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
Then, Smartsheet SVP of Product Experience, Ben Canning, closed out the keynote with an exciting sneak peek at the latest Smartsheet features. Curious to learn more? Day 2 keynote
Future-of-work strategist Heather McGowan kicked off her day-two keynote with a simple yet powerful thought: ‘A shoe is just a shoe until someone steps into it.’ Her message? Tools only reach their potential in the hands of the people who use them. And what unlocks peak human performance, especially at work? Purpose. Heather urged attendees to rethink change by fostering curiosity over certainty, embracing collective intelligence, and encouraging humble, curious leadership. It’s through this shift, she emphasized, that purpose truly unlocks performance.
Learning opportunities to level up your Smartsheet skills
Breakout sessions
With 60+ sessions across seven learning tracks, attendees had the opportunity to learn the tools they need to go back and make a change in their organizations. From creating more beautiful dashboards to learning how to leverage Smartsheet AI tools, attendees left ENGAGE with insights they can put into action right away.
The Experience Hub
Talk to any of our attendees, and they’ll describe the Experience Hub as the Main Street of ENGAGE — a place where everything happens. This year’s Hub hosted over 30 booths with Smartsheet experts, customers, and sponsors ready to help.
Visitors didn’t just chat about Smartsheet, though — they also took time to catch up on work and network.
Pre-conference training and Smartsheet certifications
On Monday, over 500 attendees participated in pre-conference training, which featured full-day workshops led by expert trainers in a classroom-style setting. Topics ranged from an Intro to Project Management to Smartsheet Bridge and Control Center. Plus, more than 220 enthusiastic participants took certification exams, eager to level up their skills and earn their Smartsheet certification.
Community and impact
Volunteer activity
At the DEI booth, attendees joined the Smartsheet DEI team to assemble 200 hygiene kits for the local YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish. The activity showed that inclusivity matters when enacting positive change — each kit contained curated products specific for the population the YWCA serves.
Women and Gender Minorities in Tech luncheon
Created with the notion that professional relationships are the lifeblood that keeps everything moving forward, this luncheon explored how to strengthen your "connection muscle" and transform surface-level interactions into lasting professional bonds in a welcoming environment.
During a fireside chat moderated by Melody Biringer, founder of the Women in Tech Regatta, panelists Amelia Ransom, VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Jo Deal, Chief People Officer; and Alpa Parikh, VP of Internal Audit; shared personal stories of self-advocacy, career growth, and overcoming challenges.
Fun at the Community booth
At the Community booth, customers dove into the "Journey through Community" experience, discovering all the ways the Smartsheet Community platform adds value. Attendees connected with industry peers, shared their Smartsheet stories, and snapped selfies with fun props that celebrated the diversity of our Community. Along the way, they picked up scavenger hunt points to score a reusable water bottle from our sponsor, Prime Consulting. Plus, five lucky raffle winners took home gift baskets packed with Smartsheet swag and prizes from our sponsors and local minority-owned businesses. If you attended, be sure to claim your attendee badge by signing into the Smartsheet Community.
Games, good times, and growing networks
From a newbie meet and greet to a welcome reception, attendees had plenty of opportunity to meet, mingle, and hear tips from other Smartsheet users. The fun highlight was Wednesday night’s attendee party. From arcade to lawn games, pickleball showdowns to ping pong and trivia, ENGAGE attendees had a blast getting their game on with new and old friends alike.
