Sr. Analyst, Policy Governance

We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, Policy Governance to join our growing risk team.
In this position you will be the primary contributor to the day-to-day management of the policy governance program at Smartsheet. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, creative, get-things-done professional who can function independently in a fast-moving environment, and rapidly earn credibility and trust within all levels of the organization. We are looking for motivated individuals who will iterate on improving both the existing and future of Smartsheet.
This position reports to the Director, Risk Management and may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.
You Will:
- Support the newly developed corporate policy management program
- Build relationships and work cross-functionally with policy stakeholders across the company to help facilitate policy updates and approvals
- Serve as the policy SME for the organization - assist with developing policies, researching policy best practices, reviewing policies and offering suggestions/ways to improve policies
- Own Smartsheet’s data retention schedule and policy. Work with relevant stakeholders to complete the schedule, update schedule and policy based on best practice research
- Administer the policy portal within Smartsheet
- Assist with other ongoing projects on the broader risk team (Business Continuity, Enterprise Risk Management, Environmental, Sustainability, & Governance, and Third Party Risk Management)
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred, but not required
- 5+ years working in a related function (policy management, compliance program management, and/or internal/external audit) preferably within the Tech industry
- Experience with GRC tools (e.g. Archer, ServiceNow GRC, RiskConnect, Auditboard, Onspring, etc.)
- Proven experience collaborating with cross functional teams within HR, legal, and/or compliance
- Proven experience working with and presenting to executive level leadership
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Effective judgment, decision making, and critical thinking skills
- Policy stakeholder engagement experience preferred, but not required

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity and some roles may be eligible for a RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. $110,000 - $147,500
